Lufthansa and its pilots remain at a standstill, as the pilot union extends its strike into the weekend.

The nearly 1,000 members of Vereinigung Cockpit, the pilot union, have walked out 11 times in a period of almost a year. The March strike is the 12th strike so far, and the second in 2015.

Vereinigung Cockpit announced on Thursday that the strike would continue through Saturday. Only long haul flights will be affected that day, along with cargo flights. Lufthansa said a list of flights to be canceled on Saturday will be published on Friday.

Last year, strikes caused more than €200 million in losses for Lufthansa.
