Alaska to start service to three new cities

Alaska Airlines announced three new flights from its main hub in Seattle on Tuesday, one of which was the second largest city without service to the Washington city.

The new destinations are Nashville, Raleigh/Durham, and Charleston. The former two are daily, while Charleston will only have service on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Raleigh/Durham is the second largest metropolitan area without service to Seattle. It is at the top of the Raleigh/Durham Airport Authority's wishlist for service and the authority claims that 165 passengers fly between the two cities daily. The largest metro area without service is Columbus, Ohio.

Nashville service starts on September 23, with Raleigh/Durham starting on October 1 and Charleston on November 16. The schedule is as follows (all times are local):
